Lalah Hathaway is one of the best performers
Lalah Hathaway has a vast catalog, one that spans decades.
So when the Veteran singer stops by the NPR offices to do a Tiny Desk performance, the question needs to be asked: what does she perform?
Well, Hathaway, rocking a camouflage jacket andearrings that say “LOVE,” kept things modern. In her Tiny Desk performance, which was released on Wednesday, June 25th, she performed two songs from her Honesty album, the title track and “Change Ya Life.” She also performed “Boston,” a song from her 2004 album Outrun the Sky.
Hathaway was backed by an all-black band that includes Lynnette Williams on the keys, Eric Smith on bass, and Varo Johnson killing the drums.
Watch the riveting performance below.
